GUIDELINES FOR PAPERS AT UWI-MONA REGIONAL DISABILITY STUDIES CONFERENCE
The UWI Centre for Disability Studies (UWICDS) will be having its Regional Disability Studies Conference on March 10-11, 2020. The theme for this conference is “Inclusive Education: The Answer to Social Transformation.” We are therefore inviting individuals or organizations to submit papers relating to the theme. The closing date for submission of abstract is November 30, 2019 and the final paper must be submitted by January 31, 2020.

DBST1000 - Understanding Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
1. Engage with some of the big issues facing persons with disabilities (PWDs), governements and societies.
2. Explore human rights approaches to disability and critically examine the concepts of inclusion, access and support.
3. Learn about disability politics and policy, advocacy and activism and understand how to work with PWDs at multiple levels.
