On March 19, 2015, the UWI Centre for Disability Studies launched its website at the Mona Visitors Lodge . The website has been designed with the necessary access features for persons with disabilities and promises to open up new opportunities on the Internet for persons with disabilities. The design and construction of the website was sponsored by the Universal Service Fund (USF). Guest were entertained by members of the Salvation Army School for the Blind choir. A special book on the subject of disability, written by Dr. Annicia Gayle-Geddes was featured at this event. Bursaries to students with disabilities studying at the UWI were presented.
